The Phoeni Project — Phoenix rising from construction waste

The Phoeni Project

Rising From What Others Discard

Building homes. Building futures. From the waste we save. A circular economy model that transforms debris into dignity.

Support The Mission

This mission is personal

In loving memory of Justin

Jennifer met Justin while doing outreach work with the local homeless community. He was one of them — living on the streets, carrying everything he owned in a single backpack. But he was different from the way most people imagine someone in that situation.

He was always smiling. Always helping others. Even when he had almost nothing, he'd share what little he had. He saw good in people that most people walked past. He saw possibility where others saw only wreckage.

They fell in love. Eight months later, Justin passed away. Eight months — the time it takes to build a life, to figure out if the person you're falling for feels the same way. He was 28 years old.

"He believed every person deserved a path forward. That belief didn't die with him — it became The Compass."

— Jennifer, Founder

The Compass exists to make sure no one else falls through the cracks. The Phoeni Project is our answer — not a shelter, not a band-aid, but a real community built from discarded materials that would otherwise go to landfill. A place where people can rebuild their lives with dignity.

From wreckage to home

The Phoeni Project is our flagship initiative. We acquire land, build sustainable mini-home villages using discarded construction materials, and house people who need it most — while teaching them the skills to thrive.

Acquire Land

Secure underutilized or donated land in areas where the need is greatest. We work with municipalities, nonprofits, and landowners willing to give property a second life.

Build From Waste

Construction debris, appliance discards, drywall, lumber — we source materials that would go to landfill and turn them into the building blocks of the village.

House With Dignity

Residents get their own mini-home — not a cot, a real place of their own. Private, safe, and built to last. This is community, not a shelter.

Teach & Thrive

Life skills, career training, financial literacy — residents gain the tools they need to move forward. The goal is self-sufficiency, not dependency.
